Skills for Progress has a clear purpose: to help people progress in their work.
Our current programme for Adult Social Care Learning specifically helps non-regulated adult care staff to develop their careers. We provide training designed to increase their range of skills and gain accredited qualifications, so that they can provide client care to the best of their ability.
We believe that no one should feel alone on their job and career journey.
Skills for Progress initially began during the pandemic to help people who had been made redundant to develop, or retrain, to get back into work.
Since then, we have continued to help hundreds of people to progress, and I am proud of the fact that the courses my team deliver consistently have over 95% positive feedback.
Our years of experience in delivering nation-wide programmes has led us to develop a unique training approach which has been proven to make a real, positive, difference to people’s learning.
We provide a truly personalised approach to learning, helping people to access the right training at the right time for them. For example, evidence has shown us that in today’s world people expect to do training online, however they also like being able to talk to a real person about their situation. Therefore, we use hybrid learning approaches to ensure that people can fully engage.
We continuously adapt to people’s needs and challenges, from busy schedules to maintaining motivation, so that they can access and complete their training.
This includes using tools such as:
- Live training online
- Helpline
- Onscreen tutor contact
- Self-study units that take 10-15 minutes
Fundamentally, whether we are delivering training on site to your staff, or you have a single staff member completing self-study online, we want no one to feel alone.
